Du nouveau à la Fabrique Narrative
- un atelier perfectionnement les 15 et 16 décembre prochains sur le thème : la localisation culturelle des problèmes.
L’accent sera mis sur les travaux de Stephen Madigan et sur une toute nouvelle approche présentée en juillet dernier à l’Euroconférence de Brighton par Amanda Redstone, Sarah Walter et Annette Holmgren sur la déconstruction des histoires dominantes de problèmes a partir de leur réintégration dans le contexte culturel et ses prescriptions.
- Visite de Jane Hutton, (voir ci-dessous) membre permanent du corps enseignant du Dulwich Center of Narrative Practices d’Adelaide, les 13 et 14 avril 2010 dans le cadre de l’atelier de perfectionnement qui sera consacré au sentiment d’ échec personnel. Jane animera une journée (en français !) sur sa méthode intitulée « lost in normality », un kit à base de situations humoristiques pour travailler sur le sentiment d’ échec personnel. Ce sera la première fois que Jane enseignera en France.
- Visite également pour la première fois en France de Stephen Madigan (voir ci-dessous et également à plusieurs reprises dans le blog) dans le cadre le la Classe de Mer (séminaire de perfectionnement + fête) de la Fabrique Narrative, qui se tiendra à Arcachon les 6, 7 et 8 septembre prochains. Praticien mondialement reconnu, Stephen a été l’un des premiers élèves et associés de Michael White et David Epston. Jane Hutton is a social worker and narrative therapist with over 20 years of experience. She enjoys meeting with both children and adults to collaborate on resolving a wide range of difficulties. She offers narrative supervision and training to many different individuals and organisations. Current passions (other than soccer) include creating resources like the Lost in normality kit to facilitate the understanding of narrative therapy ideas and what they can offer, and working with like-minded colleagues at rooms based in the Sunshine Coast Hinterland town of Palmwoods. Stephen Madigan holds an MSW and an MSc and PhD in Couple and Family Therapy.
In 1992, he opened the Vancouver School for Narrative Therapy through Yaletown Family Therapy in Vancouver, Canada, as the first Narrative Therapy training site in the Northern Hemisphere.
Stephen hosts the yearly Therapeutic Conversations Conference (www.therapeuticconversations.com) and teaches narrative therapy training workshops worldwide.
In June 2007, the American Family Therapy Academy (AFTA) honored Stephen with their Distinguished Award for Innovative Practice in Family Therapy Theory and Practice.
In March 2010, the American Psychology Association (APA) will publish Stephen’s new book on Narrative Therapy – Theory and Practice entitled ’Who has the Story Telling Rights to the Story Being Told’ . The APA will also begin selling a six part DVD set on Stephen’s ‘live’ narrative therapy session work entitled ‘ Narrative Therapy Through Time’ in March, 2010.
Stephen is a ‘retired’ member of Canada’s National Ultimate Frisbee Team. He also takes weekly hikes in the mountains, runs and practices yoga.
